May 22 - A Portrait & Images of the Last Day of the 2023 Legislative Session


This image is a posed environmental portrait of Hans Asare in the east wing of the Capitol. He and Julius Mims saw me with my cameras and said, “Hey you want to take my picture?”. So, this is Asare’s portrait. I told him where to stand and to look up toward the light. He posed himself. The skylight over the grand stairs to the old Supreme Court Chamber lights the east wing of the Capitol as the sun moves west for this contrast of light and dark and a rim light on his face.
