March 24 - The House Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee - bills fail on party-line votes and some bills got referred to other committees before the 1st &2nd committee deadlines March 27 at 5

The House Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee heard several bills ahead of the first and second committee deadlines March 27 at 5 P.M. Bills must pass either a committee in the House or Senate to stay active during the 2026 Legislative Session. The committee failed to pass two fire arms bills on party-line votes and referred three bills to other committees before recessing and returning later in the evening to take up several other bills.
