June 12 - Mitchell Ethics Hearing Delayed Until July 25
Sen. Nicole Mitchell leaves a hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Ethical Conduct followed by her attorney Dane DeKrey. The committee decided to delay any ruling on an ethics complaint brought against Sen. Mitchell who has been charged with burglary. The judge hearing the case granted a postponement of the June 10 hearing until July 1 because of a scheduling conflict of Sen. Mitchell's attorney. The committee wants to wait until after the July 1 court hearing to consider any new information before making a decision on the ethics complaint against Sen. Mitchell. The next hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Ethical Conduct will be on July 25.
